The Book of Job, Part 1: Extending God's Comfort to Others
The story of Job can often be hard to handle. We hear of a righteous individual who suffers for what seems like unnecessary reasons. However, the story of Job offers us a new perspective and wisdom on how we view ourselves and God. In the first part of the series, we are going to examine the response of Job’s three friends, how their comfort is not comforting, how some of their views on suffering are perpetuated today, and how we as the church are called to comfort those who are within and outside our walls.
